Greenway Equipment co., a John Deere-affiliated dealership, has invested $1.5 million to help better train Lonoke high School students for technician jobs in the agricultural industry that will pay them a starting wage of $40,000 after graduation, according to an article from Talk Business. A $1.2 million grant from the Arkansas Office of Skills Development will also help pay for the project, which was announced by Governor Sarah Sanders at the Lonoke Business Academy last week.
Greenway Equipment Inc., Little Rock, Ark., partnered with country music star Jason Aldean to raise funds to combat food insecurity for children in the communities it serves, totaling $172,000 to be given to three area food banks.
Greenway Equipment, a John Deere dealership based in Weiner, Ark., acquired Maus Implement, adding locations in Moorilton, Russellville and Damascus. Greenway took over operations of the stores on Oct. 7, 2019. This brings Greenways total locations up to 31 in Arkansas and southeast Missouri.
