Canadian Fabricating & Welding recently profiled shortline manufacturer MacDon, calling the company a “true Manitoba success story, and it has grown into a worldwide leader in the manufacture of harvesting equipment. The company has a 75-year history in the province, where its products are designed, manufactured, and shipped around the globe.” The company’s operations division employs well over 1,400 people and is led by Brent Timmerman, vice-president of operations, who joined MacDon in May 2022 during what he calls a unique point in the company’s history.

AGCO dealer True Ag & Turf is being formed from the acquisition of Nebraska AGCO dealers Manzer Equipment, Osmond, Neb.; Merz Farm Equipment, Falls City, Neb.; and West Point Implement of Columbus, Columbus, Neb. Merz produced a video about the new dealership group.


Moline, Ill. Famous for Other Things, Too

In 1938 in Moline, Illinois, John Fremont McCullough and son Alex developed a way to make soft-serve ice cream. Two years later, the McCulloughs opened the first “Dairy Queen” on June 22, 1940, and propped up our nation’s dairy industry for 83 years.


Greenway Equipment Annual Fundraiser with a Country Music Twist

Greenway Equipment is back with its annual food bank fundraiser. The Weiner, Ark.-based John Deere dealer (and Farm Equipment 100™️ member) is counting every donation as an entry to win one of two Gator utility vehicles previously owned by country music star Jason Aldean. The funds raised through the giveaway will be donated to combat food insecurity for children in Arkansas and Missouri.
