These are strange times we’re operating in, but the entire Farm Equipment team is dedicated to getting you the important content you want and need. In times of crisis, there’s often an urge to help however you can. Social distancing and safer at home orders make that a little bit more challenging.

This is a great time to catch up on training and best practices. So, we’re making the video sessions from our last 2 Dealership Minds Summits (2019 — 360° Sales: Actionable Strategies for the Farm Equipment Dealer; and 2018 — Intelligence Driven Marketing) available to our readers. The two events include 22 speakers and over 12 hours of recorded sessions. We’re making the videos of the full presentations available to you and your team to watch — you just need to be logged into your free Farm-Equipment.com account to access them.

We know you’ll find some new ideas in these sessions, and probably refine some systems and approaches at the same time. These sessions are full of good ideas that can be put to use in any climate. In the conversations I’ve had the last two weeks, it sounds like a lot of us (the Farm Equipment staff included) are finding new ways of doing a lot of things, many of which are likely to stick in place once we come out of all of this.

We are talking with dealers across North America to see how they are faring. We’ve started gathering “day in the life” type journal entries from various dealership positions, and are sharing them on the website. So far we have journals from Leo Johnson, dealer principal of Johnson Tractor, and Shawn Skaggs, president and CEO of Livingston Machinery, posted. We’re also checking in with distributors and manufacturers to see how they are being impacted and how they’ve altered business to still serve their customers. On April 2, we hosted a webinar with the Western Equipment Dealers Assn. on the CARES Act and some of the benefits that may help dealers. You can watch the replay  here. Last week’s Used Equipment Remarketing Roadmaps Podcast with Casey Seymour also tackled the subject. You can listen to that here.

If there’s anything we can do for you, or questions that you’d like us to take to the leading dealerships comprising the Farm Equipment “community,” let us know. As our staff prepared for working from home, we stressed the importance of over communicating. I invite you to do the same with us. We want to hear from you and want to help in any way we can.
