For the 2025 Dealership of the Year (DOY), the judges chose Brandon, Man.,-based Mazergroup in the large operation category and Lowe & Young of Wooster, Ohio, in the small operation category. The recipients competed against a field of over 50 North American dealers nominated by dealers, employees, customers, DOY alumni and equipment suppliers. More importantly, they join an exclusive list of 38 previous recipients — the Dealership of the Year Alumni Group.

Dealership of the Year: A 21-Year Tradition

Farm Equipment’s Dealership of the Year program began in 2005 “to elevate farm equipment dealerships that are leading in best practices, operations management and customer care.”

Since then, 40 dealerships from the U.S. and Canada have been recognized.

They are joined by 57 dealers who have been identified as Best-in-Class Dealerships.

Together, these dealerships make up Farm Equipment’s Dealership of the Year Alumni Group and are instrumental in nominating their fellow dealers for recognition. To see the full list and coverage of the Dealership of the Year Alumni Group, visit Farm-Equipment.com/dealership-of-the-year-archive.

This year’s judging panel included Mark Foster, retired dealer executive, Jim Walker, retired OEM executive, and Arthur Ward, former dealer executive and now chief integration officer at Aberhart Group.

In 2024, Mazergroup grew its revenue by nearly 19% over 2023 for a total of $476 million. The company produced a ROA of 10.3%, the second highest in the over $100 million category. With an average revenue per employee of $1.1 million. “Mazergroup drove amazing business growth in the 3-year measurement and were the only one in the group to report growth in all 3 years,” said the judges.

Lowe & Young had revenues of over $43.5 million and an ROA of 11.4%, among the highest of all nominated dealers in either category. The dealership reported revenue growth each of the last 3 years. The single-store dealer achieved a 100% absorption rate and 37% market share in 2024. Lowe & Young had the second highest market share of all 2024 nominees.
