Farm Equipment caught up with over a dozen ag equipment manufacturers at the Farm Progress Show and got their forecasts, concerns and points of optimism for 2024
2024 is set to be a slower year than the last 3. Dealer lots are filling back up, manufacturing backlogs are clearing up, and farmers are starting to pull back on their equipment purchases.
CNH Industrial, parent company to Case IH has entered into an agreement with AGuru Machinery, a strip-till company based in Congerville, Ill. The announcement marks the latest big move in what's been a momentous 4-month stretch in the strip-till equipment market.
"Kuhns Mfg. has often been confused with another great company named Kuhn," Kuhns Mfg.'s press release states. "Kuhn (without the s) is a great, 200 year old company from France that also manufactures and sells hay equipment. They are much larger than we are. As we continue to grow in our global reach and product lines, we find it necessary to be clear in our branding."
Regardless of tillage practices, no growers were safe from last year’s weather. With the summer’s moisture sticking around into the fall (and in some places into the winter), many growers missed crucial fall tillage to get their seedbeds ready.
