Newsmakers from the 2018 Farm Progress Show topped the list this month. Claiming the second spot was a Conversations in Ag piece, documenting a conversation between Joe Sisk and Jeff Morgan, H&R Agri-Power (Case IH dealer) , as they shared views into each other’s world and why they have not yet consummated a high-ticket deal for Sisk’s 5,000-acre operation, which remains 100% green on combines and tractors. And rounding out the top 3 was an article on Sloan Implement’s role in catching a fugitive using a combine.
Topping the list this month was a look back in the Ag Equipment Intelligence files at the farm crisis in the early 1980s. The article led to thoughtful commentary in the reader comments section. Also making the list this month were feature articles on both of the Farm Equipment Dealership of the Year winners, Reynolds Farm Equipment and Greenland Equipment.
Topping the list of most viewed items was an article on a tornado that impacted buildings owned by Vermeer Corp., followed by a blog post on the rise in combine sales in April and May this year. Rounding up the top three was a guest blog from a reader on the Deere vs. AGCO suit.
Dominating the list this month is the news of Deere’s lawsuit against AGCO and Precision planting, with claims of patent infringements. Dave Kanicki gave his perspective on the news in his blog, The Precision Planting Paradox, and a reader weighed in with a guest blog, Another Perspective on the Deere vs. AGCO Suit. The topic also surfaced in our Ag Equipment Intelligence On the Record newscast.
Ag Equipment Intelligence’s premiere webinar took the top spot this month, with Editor/Publisher Dave Kanicki and and George Russell, a founding member of the Machinery Advisors Consortium, sharing a first look at the results of the 2018 Big Dealer Report. Other market-related topics topped the list in May, including a blog on price increases taking hold in the farm equipment market, and a blog on the outlook for the 2018.
Topping the list this month was an article on the leadership changes at CNH Industrial. The topic also took the third spot this month in our On the Record newscast. Also finding a spot in the top three was our April Fool’s article with a link to a free eGuide, “The Balance Sheet, Leverage and Turnover: Birkey’s Training Primer,” which is still available for download.
Part 4 of the Case IH Dealer Network Series Update took the top spot this month, with an article on the lightning-rod issue of brand purity. The top 10 list this month was otherwise dominated by news of the steel tariffs and their impact on agriculture.
Farm Equipment's coverage of the newsmakers at the 2018 National Farm Machinery Show took the top spot this month. Other most viewed articles included coverage of Kinze's entrance into the tillage market and an article that kicked off the month on CNH Industrial's work to strengthen its balance sheet this year.
