‘Right to Repair’ Battle Continues

On June 22, the U.S. Copyright Office issued a report in which it essentially said they’re tired of having to review exemptions to Section 1201 of the Digital Millennium Copyrights Act every 3 years and industry by industry. If that’s the case, we could be talking about — or maybe just waiting on — the issue for quite some time if the speed at which Congress does anything is any indication.

WEDA Addresses Concerns about ‘Right to Repair’ Initiatives

The Western Equipment Dealers Assn. (WEDA) Board of Directors have developed a position paper regarding “Right to Repair” initiatives that have recently been launched in several states across the country. WEDA is concerned that legislative efforts to address Right to Repair issues will cause more unintended consequences that will harm farmer customers in the long term.
