Associated Supply Co. Inc., also known as ASCO Equipment, has closed on its purchase of Texana Machinery of San Antonio and Austin.

The purchase price was not disclosed.

ASCO sells new and used heavy construction and lift equipment throughout Texas, including excavators, skid steers, tractors, backhoes, forklifts and scissor lifts.

By acquiring Texana Machinery, ASCO adds two major markets — San Antonio and Austin — to its roster. Lubbock-based ASCO already had 10 equipment dealerships throughout West Texas, the Texas Panhandle and New Mexico.

Texana rents, sells and services Case Construction equipment in a 38-county South Central Texas region. Texana was founded in San Antonio in 1994.

ASCO will keep all of Texana’s management, sales and service staff in place and will continue to market Texana’s product line.

ASCO is a third-generation family owned and operated company with more than 260 employees.
