Lessiter Media has announced it will be launching the first-ever Precision Specialist Week on August 13-19, 2023. This annual celebration, involving farmers, dealers and manufacturers, will recognize the hard work and dedication of those making today’s precision farming systems possible.

“Our company has a long history in recognizing those whose extra efforts are making a difference in agriculture,” says Lessiter Media President Mike Lessiter. “We felt the precision specialist’s role has long been overlooked and is vital to the success of moving every element of technology forward — on the farm, in the dealership and in the technology development itself.”

While employed by dealers, growers regard their precision farming specialists as an extension of their farm staff. They are called upon day and night to keep farms up and running, especially during the critical planting, spraying and harvesting seasons.

“We hear stories all the time from farmers who praise their precision specialist for saving the day when they couldn’t afford to be down,” Lessiter says.

“Precision Specialist Week gives farmers an opportunity to celebrate those hard-working individuals that ensure their technologies and equipment are ready to go under demanding conditions.”

Ahead of the week-long celebration, growers, dealers and manufacturers are invited to nominate a Precision Farming Specialist who goes above and beyond the call of duty to keep farming operations running. To share stories and celebrate the dedicated precision specialists making an impact in the ag industry, submit a nomination at www.farm-equipment.com/psweek.

All submissions will be shared across all of Lessiter Media’s Ag Division titles during Precision Specialist Week in August and further celebrated at the National No-Tillage Conference and Precisio n Farming Dealer Summit being held in Indianapolis next January.
