BROOKFIELD, Wis. — The editors of Farm Equipment announced that the 6th Annual Dealership Minds Summit will be returning to Omaha, Neb., on Aug. 4-5, 2020. Managing used equipment inventories and remarketing equipment is among the biggest challenges facing farm equipment dealerships today. Based on the feedback and expertise of the Farm Equipment editorial advisory board and the Dealership of the Year Alumni Group, this year’s Summit will center on a theme of “Profit-Turning Trades.”

Following the close of the 2019 Dealership Minds Summit, attendees were asked to rate their interest in possible themes for future events. Used Equipment Remarketing was ranked the highest with an average of a 4.5 out 5. “The job of remarketing manager is one of the toughest — and most important — at the dealership. This year’s theme of ‘Profit-Turning Trades’ is a return to the remarketing theme that was so widely attended and asked for in 2017,” says Executive editor Kim Schmidt. “The 2-day dealer-only event will include dealer-to-dealer panels and roundtable sessions, along with general sessions and workshops, all of which are intended to identify and share actionable, best-practice ideas among all colors to better manage and move used equipment inventories.”

“Behind company team members, used equipment is probably the biggest dealership risk,” says Don Aberle, used equipment manager at Titan Machinery.

Speaker commitments to date include Olga Hall, director of international sales for RDO Equipment, Fargo, N.D.; and Stacy Anthony, vice president and CEO of MirTech Harvest Center, Jonesboro, Ark.
