Today, Kongskilde Industries' owner, DLG Group (DLG a.m.b.a.) has entered into an agreement to sell the Grass and Soil activities of Kongskilde Industries to CNH Industrial N.V. With the transaction, the DLG Group continues to follow its strategy to divest non-core activities and strengthen its focus on core business areas.
“We are satisfied that there will be a new strong owner of Kongskilde Agriculture. CNH Industrial will continue to service Kongskilde Grass and Soil customers and end-users, while developing the business further. The transaction will also enable DLG to focus on the development of our two remaining business areas Kongskilde Industry and Kongskilde Grain and release of their full potential, said Kim Balle, chairman of Kongskilde and COO of DLG Group.
This agreement will further broaden New Holland Agriculture’s product offering within the agricultural machinery sector. Kongskilde Grass and Soil business develops, manufactures and sells solutions for agricultural applications in the tillage, seeding and hay & forage segments under various brands, including Kongskilde, Överum and JF. Kongskilde will continue to operate through its current sales organization and its dealer and importer network ensuring continuity in its customers’ support and service.
The transaction comprises a transfer of assets and brands related to the Grass and Soil activities of Kongskilde Industries, including all of the Grass and Soil production activities in Kutno, Poland, Överum, Sweden, a lease contract of production activities in Hudson, Ill., and other facilities in the EMEA, APAC and NAFTA regions. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including approval from relevant antitrust authorities.
Kongskilde Industry is a global market leader within handling of waste material and finished products in the paper, plastic and packaging industry, while Kongskilde Grain provides crop handling systems primarily in Denmark.
In the coming years, Kongskilde Industries expects to accelerate growth through establishing more customer partnerships and investments in new systems offerings as well as introducing new products which will optimize the production and give a better production environment at the customers.
