Product Details

The aviation industry is looking to significantly reduce its carbon footprint over the next couple of decades. Achieving its ambitious goals will require the successful execution of several tactics, including the upgrading of fleets to more modern, fuel-efficient aircraft; more efficient and carbon-friendly airport ground operations; and, perhaps most importantly, the increased use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

The U.S. agriculture industry must play a pivotal role in the airline industry’s clean energy transformation. Many of the feedstocks used to produce SAF come from the farms, fields and ranches scattered throughout America’s countryside.

But several challenges remain. For the aviation industry to remain on track to hit its emissions-reduction and SAF-adoption targets through 2030 and beyond, domestic production of SAF will need to ramp up considerably. Without the proper policies, production infrastructure and supply chains in place, SAF could fail to live up to its potential. In turn, American farmers could lose out on a new domestic market that could help stabilize and grow demand for its products.

This special report will take an in-depth look at:

  • What is SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel)
  • What Fuel Producers are Doing
  • Barriers & Enablers to SAF Production
  • Impact on the Agriculture Economy
  • And More...
