We are pleased to announce the promotion of Kayla Cross to Chief Operating Officer for the Pioneer Equipment Dealers Association and the Automobile Dealers Association of North Dakota.
Since joining the organization in April 2022, Kayla has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills. Prior to her current role, she spent more than a decade with Scheels All Sports, Inc., where she led large-scale events, coordinated complex logistics, and managed key organizational initiatives. Her ability to build relationships, solve problems, and execute successful programs has made her an invaluable asset to both associations.
Kayla has also maintained a strong commitment to public service through her ongoing role as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, reflecting her dedication to teamwork, leadership, and community impact. In addition, she actively supports her husband's real estate business, where she embraces a simple philosophy: everyone wins. Whether serving association members, supporting clients, or helping her community, Kayla believes that lasting success is built on collaboration, trust, and creating positive outcomes for everyone involved.
In her expanded role as COO, Kayla will continue to leverage her strategic planning and operational strengths to support both associations, enhance organizational efficiency, and advance member services across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Kayla resides in Mapleton, ND, with her husband, where they enjoy country living and maintaining their acreage. Outside of work, she remains active in her community, enjoys training for half marathons, and is involved at Prairie Heights Community Church. She also enjoys traveling—especially to warmer destinations—whenever possible.
