CNH Industrial’s contract with UAW workers is set to expire on May 2 at its Racine, Wis., plant.
A company spokesperson told the Milwaukee Business Journal that contract negotiations are continuing and to date no strike has been called.
The contract that is currently expiring came after an 8-month strike back in 2022 and early 2023, which Farm Equipment followed closely. The on-going coverage of that strike can be found here.
The Racine plant, which manufactures Case IH Magnum tractors, has nearly 300 UAW-represented employees.
The current negotiations are specific to the Racine plant and UAW Local 180. CNH maintains more than 8,000 American employees at its manufacturing and R&D facilities across 16 states, but this process is focused on Racine, according to the company.
According to CNH, the company is “In good-faith negotiations with an intent to reach an agreement by the contract expiration on May 2nd that both rewards the hard work of our UAW-represented workforce and ensures we have a strong facility that provides good jobs for years to come.”
Farm Equipment and Ag Equipment Intelligence will continue to monitor the negotiations and will provide updates as more news emerges.
