CNH America LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of CNH Global NV (NYSE: CNH), announced that the United Auto Workers (UAW) voted to ratify a new 6-year contract with the company. It will replace an existing contract that expires April 30, 2011, but only when CNH announces a decision to manufacture additional product lines at the Burlington facility.

Should the new contract become effective, it will expire April 30, 2016, for contracted employees at Racine, Burlington and Burr Ridge sites.

The agreement was reached by the company and the union on March 25 and ratified by a majority of its approximately 750 UAW represented employees.

"We are very pleased with this agreement," said Harold Boyanovsky, president and CEO of CNH Global NV. "We believe this contract sets a framework of success for employees, customers, dealers and shareholders."

CNH America is the parent of Case IH and Case Construction operations in Racine.
