Leaftech Ag Showcases New Handheld Tissue Analysis at Linco-Precision Event

Leaftech Ag's Founder and CEO John Mascoe goes over the details of the company's new handheld tissue sensor, which allows farmers and agronomists to scan leaves in the field for nutrient content and measure for 12 micro and macro nutrients in just a few minutes. This allows farmers to quickly apply targeted nutrients to help crops reach their yield potential. Mascoe participated in an event put on by Skip Klinefelter and his team at Linco-Precision for their farm customers and ag retailers.

Finding Love at a John Deere Dealership

With Valentine’s Day this week, we stumbled across Rob and Karen Dove’s love story … that all started at the parts counter of McMillan Implement, an Indiana John Deere dealership (now part of Hutson Inc.). “I was going for parts, and she was working there—and we made a connection,” says Rob Dove of Elnora, who says his wife Karen first caught his eye back in 1986 when she was working for the John Deere dealership in Newberry, Indiana.

Kinze Introduces 2 New Planter Models at National Farm Machinery Show

Our team is down in Louisville this week for the National Farm Machinery Show, and got a sneak peak before the show opened on Wednesday Feb. 15 of Kinze’s new 500 Series row unit. The new planters will replace Kinze’s current 4905 and 4705 models with the same configurations. The 5900 will be available in 24-row, 30-inch; 16-row, 30-inch; and 12-row, 30-inch configurations. The 5700 will be offered in 36-row, 20-inch and 24-row, 30-inch versions, as well as a 24-row, 20-inch narrow row planter.
