In this week’s episode, associate editor Sarah Hill sat down with Jeff Bloom, second generation owner of Lake County International. Jeff’s father Frank Bloom got started in the farm equipment business working with Vern Spatz at the International Harvester company store  in Heron, S.D.

In 1962, Frank and Vern decided to go into business together for themselves and bought Lake County International.

Jeff was thrown into a leadership role at the age of 28 in the middle of the 1980s Farm Crisis after his father passed away. Today, the third generation is involved in the dealership.
