In today’s episode of Farm Equipment’s Used Equipment Remarketing Roadmaps podcast, host Casey Seymour of Moving Iron LLC talks with Adam Verner of Elite Ag, a shortline dealer in Leesburg, Ga.

The pair met up at the 2018 Dealership Minds Summit in Iowa City where they got the conversation started with a discussion on how Adam went from farmer, to Krone territory sales manager to a shortline dealer.

They also talk about how customers in the south have a large fleet of equipment, and many of them had been accustomed to multi-unit discounts and rolling equipment every year or two. That all, of course, came to an end in 2014 and 2015.

Casey and Adam continue their discussion of finding the next buyer for a used unit ahead of the trade, which is getting increasingly difficult with the farm consolidation happening.  They also touch on the trade war and their outlook for the rest of the year.
