John Deere, the leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery in the world, is studying the opportunities of opening an assembly of agricultural machinery in Kazakhstan. This was announced at a seminar on investment opportunities in Kazakhstan within the framework of the Customs Union.

The event was held by the Kazakh Embassy together with the office of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in New York and GRATA Law Firm in the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington D.C. The seminar was attended by representatives of the State Department, U.S. Department of Energy, the business community and international organizations.

The purpose of the event was the awareness-raising on the steps of forming the Customs Union and Single Economic Space. The key economic indicators, procedures for opening and doing business in Kazakhstan were also discussed.
