Waitt Equipment Sales, based in Indiana, has opened doors to a new dealership in Ohio.

Waitt Equipment Sales, Inc. is a 30-year old business selling and servicing specialized agricultural equipment. The company currently has a location in Cicero, Ind. that services all of Indiana and Ohio, but has not had an Ohio store.

Company officials say Ada was selected because they see it as an excellent place to locate, given its central location in the "breadbasket" of Ohio agricultural production. The Ada location will be known as Waitt Ohio Equipment Sales and will service the entire state of Ohio.

Waitt sells Apache brand self-propelled agricultural sprayers and Schaben brand pull type sprayers. At the Waitt Ohio location, they will specialize in large pull type New Leader spreaders typically used in the application of fertilizer, lime and chicken litter.

Additionaly, the company will sell a New Leader-Apache machine that is a "very unique" self propelled sprayer and spreader unit capable of doing both jobs with one power unit.

Waitt Ohio Equipment Sales will also offer several lines of grain handling equipment including Sudenga, Brandt, Baldor, and Honeyville.
