Proven in the most demanding of ag conditions, CLEANFIX reversible fans provide the most efficient diesel engine cooling and radiator cleaning available. The multi-patented reversing fan technology maintains machine cooling as needed and, when required, provides the strongest blowout of dust and debris -- without halting or slowing operations.
Nebraska Teacher Takes Industrial Tech to ‘Another Level’
Our friends over at the Iowa-Nebraska Dealers Association shared this story on Facebook this week. Ashton Bohling was named the winner of the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence. The award noted the "solutions-based culture" Bohling has created at Johnson-Brock, in which students brainstorm and create their own projects, including developing small-engine tool kits, redesigning oxyfuel stations and creating tool hangers for welding booths to keep track of tools. Under Bohling, students also developed a lawn-mower maintenance company out of the program's shop, blending hands-on work with real-world experience in sales, marketing and other skills.
Koenig Equipment: A Mere Century Ago
The forerunner of Koenig Equipment was Botkins Hardware, peddling hardware, cooking supplies, stoves, buggies, paint, jewelry, roofing, wooden tub washing machines. As combustion engines evolved, so did the dealership, which today has 15 John Deere locations and is #52 in the Farm Equipment 100 List. Photo below is from 1923…
Want to Brush Up on Strip-Till Equipment? New Email Discussion Group
The 9th Annual National Strip-Tillage Conference in Iowa City this summer confirmed that the practice is 1) poised for sizeable growth and 2) farmers need the help of their equipment dealers in specifying and setting up the equipment for local conditions.
The editors at Strip-Till Farmer started a new email discussion group that is already bringing out practical solutions. Free and open to dealers too who want to see the common questions, challenges and answers as farmers and dealers help each other navigate this promising conservation practice.
Celebrate Your Tech Letter Signings!
Make it a big deal for high-school seniors, and it will be received as a big deal. Sinclair Tractor is not wasting any opportunity to celebrate — and welcome — its future talent along with parents. Congrats, Curtis, and much success on a great career start!
Slideshow — 60 Legends of No-Till in 60 Years
To mark the no-till practice’s 60th anniversary this spring, No-Till Farmer released a roster of 60 “No-Till Legends.” This list, thanks to the support of Unverferth, recognizes growers, educators, researchers & suppliers who helped no-till advance from 0 to 110 million acres in 6 decades. Product Video of the Week: A Deep Dive into APV's Cover Crop Equipment Offerings
Cameron White, APV-America territory manager, explains how the relatively new company is making a name for itself in the cover crop business.
He'll highlight the many offerings available from APV, including APV's Pneumatic Seeders (PS) series. The APV PS series includes products of different hopper sizes (120, 200, 300, 500, 800, 1200 and 1600 liters), a fan (electric, hydraulic or PTO fan) and design (standard, fertilizer and/or TWIN).
Cameron will also weigh in on the growing cover crop movement and how its adoption can help improve the overall soil health and nutrient management.
