USDA's crop progress report for the week ended September 19 reported 93% of corn dented, below the 94% reported dented in the same week last year. The 5-year average for corn dented in this week was 89%.

Some 57% of corn crops were reported mature, above the 56% reported mature in the same week last year.

USDA reported 10% of corn crops harvested, above the 8% reported harvested by this time in 2020. The 5-year average for corn harvested in this week is 9%.

Around 45% of corn crops were reported in "good" condition, with another 14% in "excellent" condition and 26% in "fair condition."

Some 58% of soybean crops were reportedly dropping leaves, above the 56% reported dropping leaves in the same week last year. The 5-year average for soybeans dropping leaves in this week was 48%.

USDA reported 6% of soybeans harvested in the week, above the 5% reported in the same week last year. The 5-year average for soybeans harvested is 6%.

Some 47% of soybean crops were reported in "good" condition, with another 11% in "excellent" condition and 28% in "fair condition."
