McPherson’s Farm Equipment, a Virginia-based Branson dealer that opened in 2018, recently received a $10,000 grant from the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority (VCEDA). Owner Bobby McPherson says he plans to use the money to buy used equipment to add inventory to the new business, according to the Bristol Herald Courier.

Tim Blankenbecler, director of the Small Business Development Center at Wise County’s Mountain Empire Community College, worked with McPherson to prepare his application to VCEDA for grant program, which is designed to assist for-profit businesses with less than 10 full-time employees, according to the paper.

In addition to Branson tractors, McPherson plans to offer Titan implements, Samasz hay equipment and Makita power tools.
