HOUSTON  Padam Pandit joins the Mahindra North America (MNA) senior executive team as vice president and chief financial officer with responsibility for the company’s financial and IT operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Houston-based Mahindra Tractors & Utility Vehicles assembles and distributes tractors and manufactures and distributes utility vehicles throughout the Americas. Pandit brings more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting to Mahindra NA and will oversee the complete accounting and finance department including treasury, legal and audit oversight.

Pandit’s most recent position was controller for the Rigs U.S. aftermarket business unit for National Oilwell Varco, where he was responsible for financial and business performance through cost analysis, business restructuring, financial control and audit/SOX compliance management. Pandit started his career with Mahindra & Mahindra in 1994.  He transitioned to Mahindra USA in 2000 and served in the role of chief financial officer and controller at Mahindra USA, leading the finance, accounting and IT functions for 7 years. 

Pandit earned an cxecutive MBA from the University of Houston and a degree in Cost and Management Accounting (CMA) from the Institute of Cost and Works Accounting of India. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from the University of Bombay in India. Most recently, he participated in the Finance Leadership Program from Rice University, Jones Graduate School of Business.
