The origins of the Dealership Minds Summit (first held in Kansas City in 2013) are closely tied to the Alumni Group of the Farm Equipment Dealership of the Year program. The program was started by the magazine’s editors in 2005 “to elevate farm equipment dealerships that are leading in best practices, operations management and customer care” and the Alumni Group has been instrumental in helping plan and focus each event since. For the first time in 2017, Farm Equipment assembled a walk-through Hall of Honor at the Dealership Minds Summit in Omaha to recognize the 26 dealerships that achieved industry-best performance over the years, as determined by an independent panel of judges.

Made possible through the support of Fastline Media Group, the Hall of Honor exhibit featured photos from the original cover story articles in Farm Equipment, key facts and figures about the operation, and a quote from the dealer-principal. The displays were produced on vinyl banners from Lessiter Media’s large format printer and attached to the wooden custom exhibit walls assembled on-site.
