KIEL, Wis. — Amerequip, based in Kiel, Wis.. announced its third expansion project in 4 years, according to a story on Fox11online.com. The company manufactures construction, lawn and garden and industrial equipment for OEMs.

Mike VanderZanden, Amerequip CEO and president, says, "It's a celebration of that continued growth, and the effort and hard work of our team members and our employees who were absolutely phenomenal in making this happen."

The company first announced this series of expansions in 2011. In the last 4 years, the first two steps increased the facilities by more than 100,000 square feet and improved operations.

VanderZanden says, "This final phase is bringing on our fabrication area and adding on additional equipment and collaborating all core competencies together."

Those core competencies are welding, paint, and assembly, but company leaders say the best addition to the facility is more than 100 jobs — growing from 150 team members to 260.

VanderZanden says, "It's been absolutely wonderful. We set out a vision back in 2011 to employ 400 by 2020."

Company executives say the expansion has allowed Amerequip to meet the needs of its customers. Its OEM customers include KIOTI, Mahindra, New Holland, Toro and Yanmar.

VanderZanden says, "We hope to be able to double the business from a manufacturing footprint standpoint. It's also going to allow us to be more efficient, more productive at what we do. Eliminating transportation costs, reducing our inventories and reducing our lead times to serve our customers even better than we do today."

The third phase of the expansion is expected to be completed by May of next year.
