ST. LOUIS, Mo. – As part of its rebranding, the Equipment Dealers Assn., formerly North American Equipment Dealers Assn. (NAEDA), recently launched two integrated websites to service their members. EquipmentDealer.org (www.equipmentdealer.org) is the association’s information hub, providing information about the organization, membership opportunities and services provided by EDA.

The second new site, News.EquipmentDealer.org, is a digital extension from the association’s former print magazine, Equipment Dealer. It is the online source for association news, legislative and compliance information, manufacturer news and other general industry updates.

“As we are monitoring areas of government relations, manufacturer relations and regulatory compliance, our members rely on timely information and updates,” states Rick Lawhun, president and CEO of Equipment Dealers Assn. “We are excited to launch a new online platform that provides dealers quick access to updates on these relevant topics from their computer, tablet or mobile device.”

Lawhun said as an international organization, serving approximately 4,500 equipment dealers in U.S. and Canada, it is important for the Equipment Dealers Assn. to be easily accessible to members, prospective members, regional associations, manufacturers and individuals. The goal is to provide these groups with the most up-to-date information and to be able to share resources efficiently. The new sites also allow members and non-members to learn more about the association, and its history, mission, purpose, services and staff, he said.

In October, 2015, NAEDA announced it was rebranding the association to Equipment Dealers Assn. The board of directors determined that dropping the geographic descriptor better aligned the organization with the regional equipment dealer associations and strengthened its position as the largest international organization for equipment dealers.

“Throughout this rebrand, our purpose to help dealers succeed remains unchanged,” continues Lawhun. “All these efforts are focused with providing value-added services to best support our members and advance the industry.”
