On Feb. 12, 2015 Linamar Agriculture Inc. signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of corn head manufacturer Harvestec. Linamar Corp. is the original equipment manufacturer of the corn heads that are marketed and sold under the Harvetec name in North America. Founded and managed by Bill Helm, Harvestec has been the distributor of Linamar corn heads for the past 17 years. "We here at Linamar are excited as well, excited to begin the next chapter in our partnership with our valued Harvestec dealers. Moving forward, the company will be known as Linamar Agriculture Inc., Harvestec will be a brand of Linamar Agriculture Inc," the company says.

"Linamar is committed to grow this business in North America. We intend to build on the positives, beginning with the strong feedback we continually hear about the field performance of the 6000 Series Cornado," says Russell Solomon, North American director of sales.

Linamar is actively looking for new dealers in various open points across North America.

"During my 18 years in the agricultural equipment industry, I understand what it is required to make manufacturers, dealers and ultimately our farmers successful. At Linamar Agriculture Inc, our commitment to your success begins today," Solomon says.
