EMMETSBURG, Ia. — Montag Manufacturing has announced that they will be hosting their inaugural Nutrient Placement Conference on January 21, 2015 in Spencer, Iowa, at the Regional Events Center. Registration is free and Montag will host a complimentary luncheon for registered attendees.

The full-day program will feature Bill Northey, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, speaking about how nutrient reduction effects the environment. In addition to Secretary Northey, additional speakers and roundtable participants will include strip-till experts and long-time strip-till producers speaking about the state of the industry as well as trends that will affect the future of nutrient placement.

“In addition to the fine line-up of experts in strip-till, we will also be unveiling new products that will help address the needs of the agricultural industry as well as product improvements that we have been working on and are really excited about bringing to the market,” states Anthony Montag, General Manager. “Today, it is very difficult for producers to find valid ways to reduce costs that can be reflected in the bottom-line. A decrease in the amount of fertilizer that is applied is a great option to reduce cost for most producers,” Montag continued.

10th Anniversary Celebration to be Part of the Program

“2015 marks the 10th Anniversary of Montag and we wanted to share our success and blessings with those who attend the Nutrient Placement Conference as well as folks who visited Montag at the trade shows where we exhibited in 2014. We will be announcing the winner of the Cabela’s Gun Safe which has generated quite a bit of interest in the past 6 months or so,” states Rebecca Montag. “Those who attend are encouraged to register as well.”
