(JDES) announced today it has completed the transition in corporate identity started 18 months ago and has eliminated use of its original name Phoenix International. Since 1999, JDES has been wholly owned by Deere & Company DE +0.01% , a world leading provider of products and services for agriculture, construction, forestry and turf care.

CLAAS Expands Dealer Network in Saskatchewan

In the wake of Kramer, Ltd. announcing its intent to exit the agricultural equipment business, CLAAS of America has made immediate plans to fill the gap left by its long-time dealer with two new, full-service dealerships in Saskatchewan. The move, part of a planned dealership expansion in western Canada, will ensure that CLAAS customers in the region will experience little or no disruption of service or support.

Joint Boards Vote to Move Forward with Dealer Association Merger

The joint boards of SouthWestern Association (SWA) and Canada West Equipment Dealers Association (CWEDA) recently voted to move forward with a merger of these two associations to form the new Western Equipment Dealers Association (WEDA). This action was the first step toward a merger, which requires a vote by dealer members of each association to be completed this summer.
