Armstrong, Iowa – Art’s Way Manufacturing Co. celebrated its 70th anniversary at its Armstrong, Iowa, headquarters, welcoming an estimated 400-500 attendees. Attendees included employees, family members, dealers, customers, vendors, community members, and more.
The event gave attendees the opportunity to tour the plant, with many visitors seeing it for the first time or returning after many years. Additionally, Marc McConnell, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board, spoke on the history and evolution of Art’s Way, honoring the people that contributed to the success of Art’s Way from 1956 to today.
“Over 70 years a lot of people had to care about their work for this company to be here today, " McConnell said.
Inside Sales Manager, Jim Cronk, shared personal stories of growing up with an Art’s Way grinder mixer, while Supply Chain Manager, Brianne Anderson, recognized the vendors who sponsored the event.
Those at Art’s Way took the time to recognize Helmuth Repair and owner Floyd Helmuth as one of their first dealers dating back to 1956. Floyd Helmuth won the raffle for the 70th Anniversary Edition 7165 Grinder Mixer.
Members of the Luscombe family, including descendants of company founder Art Luscombe, were also recognized during the celebration.
For 70 years, Art’s Way has been a pillar in Armstrong, Iowa, providing jobs and supporting economic production in the community while manufacturing agricultural equipment used by farmers across the country and internationally. Company leaders gave credit to employees, customers, dealers and community supporters for helping the company navigate changing agricultural markets and continue moving forward.
Looking ahead, the company remains focused on building quality equipment and plans to introduce additional product updates in the future.
"We plan to be around a long time in the future and consequently make decisions every day for long-term benefit," McConnell said.
