A wicked snowstorm couldn’t stop the 10th annual Precision Farming Dealer Summit from delivering an information-packed program in downtown Louisville, Ky., Jan. 6-7. The 2-day conference drew attendees from 35 different dealerships and equipment companies across the U.S., Canada and Europe.

The program featured dealer-to-dealer roundtables, panel presentations, farmer-to-dealer conversations, general sessions and multiple networking opportunities. From the single-location independent retailer to the multi-store farm equipment dealer, the precision manager to the technology specialist, intense knowledge sharing and networking were in abundance throughout the Summit.

One of the noteworthy roundtable discussions focused on how to sell precision ROI when wallets are tight. Team members from several dealerships shared smart solutions and “been there, done that” tips. “We find ourselves doing more ‘try before you buy’ in tough economic times,” one participant said. The group also stressed the 4 Ts of precision success — teamwork, trust, tenacity and transparency.

“This business is not about just wholegoods or parts and service,” said Russ Green, who moderated the session. “It’s time for precision farming to put its elbows on the table.”

Other highlights of the 2025 Precision  Farming Dealer Summit included the return of the OEM Panel featuring precision executives from CNH, Claas and PTx Trimble, and presentations from Horsch founder Michael Horsch, Ag Technology Solutions Group owner Skip Klinefelter, Titan International CEO Morry “The Grizz” Taylor, an Ahead of the Curve panel featuring Greeneye, Monarch Tractor and visorPRO and 6 breakout classrooms led by an array of experts on emerging precision products, technologies and best practices. Dealers also got a glimpse into their customers’ minds during a “What Farmers Want from You” session with Brownsburg, Ind., farmer Mike Starkey and West Union, Iowa, farmer Loran Steinlage.

Also announced was the return of the Dealership Minds Summit, which will be held July 29-30 in Iowa City, Iowa.
