After completion of a major 5,000-square-foot facility and renovations at its Shell Rock, Iowa plant, Unverferth Manufacturing is looking to hire 45-55 additional people to support increased demand and diversification of product lines, according to a recent Farm Equipment article. Featured upgrades include expanded manufacturing space and storage room, tube lasers, overhead lifts, LED lighting, robotic sorting and fiber lasers.

Each piece of machinery is manufactured from start to finish on site, so welders, painters, overhead crane operators, assemblers and other machine operators are needed, according to a recent KCRG-TV9 article. This includes predominately second shift workers, and while experience is preferred, it’s not required.

Employee benefits are a big draw for local workers who stay for the no cost health insurance, 15% profit sharing retirement contribution, safe working environment and good work life balance, says KCRG-TV9. Unverferth is one of Butler country’s largest employers at the Shell Rock manufacturing facility.
