No-Till Farmer Editor Frank Lessiter Inducted into CTIC Hall of Fame

No-Till Farmer editor Frank Lessiter was surprised with more Hall of Fame hardware, this time from the Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) at the 2023 annual meeting and farm tour in Frankenmuth, Mich. He was introduced as the 4th inductee in the organization’s 40-year history as the “Johnny Appleseed of Conservation Tillage” for providing a vehicle for growers to learn from one another about no-till farming.

Deere Dealer Signs LSU Football Player to NIL Deal

Louisiana John Deere dealership Sunshine Quality Solutions wanted to ink an NIL (name, image, likeness) deal with an athlete for upcoming marketing campaigns. They found what they call “a perfect fit” in LSU left tackle Will Campbell, who grew up on a Louisiana farm.

N.J. Boy’s Make-a-Wish for Kubota Tractor Granted

Judah Macauley, an 18-year-old from Pittsgrove, N.J. living with the genetic blood disorder beta thalassemia, received a Kubota tractor with a front loader and backhoe from Make-A-Wish New Jersey. The tractor will help him work on his family’s Pittsgrove farm.

Celebrating July as National Ice Cream Month

The editors at Dairy Heard Management put together this list of every state’s top 5 favorite ice cream flavors to celebrate National Ice Cream Month. Among the biggest surprises on the list, North Dakota ranked green tea flavored ice cream as its 4th favorite.
