Harristown, Ill., — Two college students have been chosen as the 2019 Jenner Ag Furthering Ag Education Scholarship recipients and will be awarded $1,000 scholarships.

Jacob Larkin, of Pontiac, Ill., will be attending South Dakota State University to pursue a degree in Precision Agriculture Technology. Larkin has been a 4-H member for 11 years, holding every position available in his club. He has also been heavily involved in community service programs in his area.

Taylor Miller, of Belleville, Ill., attends Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), where she is currently pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Miller is involved in various clubs at SIUC and has spent countless hours involved in community service.

“We are pleased to once again award scholarships to students aspiring for a career in agriculture. Our hope is these scholarships assist students in achieving their goals,” says Steve Jones, president of Jenner Ag. “The industry is always looking for more individuals to pursue careers in the field.”

For the ninth year, Jenner Ag has provided ag students located in Illinois and Indiana the opportunity to have assistance in earning their degrees by offering scholarships. The Jenner Ag Furthering Ag Education Scholarships are awarded to students who wish to achieve their education goals in an agriculture program.
