DONALDSONVILLE, La. — Sunshine Equipment and Quality Equipment have announced the two John Deere dealer groups have merged to form Sunshine Quality Solutions: a dealership comprised of 15 locations throughout southern Louisiana.

The merger came together to achieve one overall goal: to be a one-stop solution for all agricultural and turf equipment needs. Customers can expect volume pricing on equipment, optimized parts and service availability, and a more robust inventory of new and used John Deere equipment, the company said.

“After decades of serving the Louisiana community, this merger stands out as a true milestone for us, our customers, and John Deere," said chief executive officer, Rob Richter.  “We’re excited to pass the benefits of this merger along to our customers. Customers will have greater parts inventory and availability, plus a broader range of new and used equipment and technology from which to choose.”

“This is not an acquisition of one company by another.  It is truly a merger of equals,” said David Savoie, who will serve as the Large Ag corporate sales manager of the new company. Savoie is currently general manager of Quality Equipment. “We’re creating an even stronger John Deere dealership organization with the expertise, market breadth, knowledge and financial resources to provide our customers with an even more robust, reliable and responsive local dealership.”

“This new company is positioned to serve customers across southern Louisiana and Mississippi, with leading edge technology over the long haul as new technologies are introduced into agriculture.” Richter said.  “We also plan to better share resources such as employees and deploying the right technician for the job.”

The dealership has locations in Abbeville, Baton Rouge, Covington, Crowley, Donaldsonville, Eunice, Franklin, Franklinton, Hammond, Lafayette, New Iberia, Opelousas, Thibodaux, and Welsh, La.
