Bingham Equipment’s Blaine Bingham (president/CEO) and son, Brant (general operations assistant), will speak at the 2015 Dealership Minds Summit in a “Dealer-to-Dealer” panel session that will cover key considerations for transitions within family-owned equipment dealerships.

Headquartered in Mesa, Ariz., Bingham Equipment Co. is a 10-store dealer group with revenues of $55 million. The group, which counts Bobcat, Case Construction, Kubota, New Holland and AGCO as its mainlines, was founded by Blaine’s father, Norm, in 1956.

The pair will bring a unique perspective to succession planning. The 30-year-old Brant Bingham recently returned to the company after a full-time MBA program, following a planned-for schedule that would bring him back before large-scale staff retirements began. Meanwhile, the 61-year-old Blaine Bingham has sat both in the chair of the successor (he started as a salesman in 1977 before taking over as president within a decade) and now as the senior-level executive planning his own succession.
