The Schulte VTX-300 High Speed Variable Tillage unit can do it all, from a light to an extreme tillage pass with aggressive concave discs; to a vertical tillage pass or seedbed preparation with straight discs, and everything in between. This is all accomplished with the ability to adjust the disc angle on the go from 0° to 22° degrees, true variable tillage, along with the weight of 1,150 lbs/ft to deal with any type of crop residue or ground condition.
The benefits of vertical tillage and the need for large-acreage productivity have seamlessly come together in three new 7400 Series 5-section Vertical Tillage Plus machines from Landoll. Available in working widths from 39 feet, 9 inches to 49 feet, 9 inches, the 5-section VT Plus can cover up to an impressive 42 acres per hour, while sizing and anchoring residue and mixing a shallow layer of soil — all at speeds up to 8 ½ mph. When coupled with previous VT Plus models, the Landoll 7400 Series line of vertical-tillage machines becomes the largest in the industry.
The CurseBuster is a direct descendant of the New Zealand originated vertical tillage tool which came to North America in 1983. The tillage physics of the tool produces normal water percolation through the plowlayer and thereby enhances water infiltration normalizing gas exchange and results in normal root system architecture. This combination produces increases in density and diversity of the soil and plant microbiome leading to rapid increases in soil and plant health. Uses include aeration of permanent vegetation such as pasturelands, selective weed control in row crops, surface application of animal wastes and ready to plant seed beds in a single pass.
HALO AerWay combines Salford’s AerWay aerators with Salford’s high clearance independent blade mounts and finishing systems for the best soil aeration and residue management.
A row of AerWay Shattertines cuts through residue and aerates the ground. This unique tillage action holds soil structure while improving air and moisture storage capacity. The tines are followed by wavy colters that further size residue and level. The tines and blades have manually adjustable angles to operate more or less aggressively.
Double 14 inch rolling harrows controlled by single-point hydraulic pressure provide the finish for this durable machine. The new finishing system has improved contouring and easier maintenance.
Salford Independent Series tools stand alone in their class with patented independent blade mounts, which offer superior residue management, while increasing operating speeds, improving equipment longevity and reducing operating costs, compared to traditional disc gangs.
The Independent Series line of tools has six unique models that offer different tillage action, so you can choose how much soil disturbance is right for you.
SwitchBlade shanks turn your residue management tool into a coulter chisel in seconds. The patented Coil-Tech Coulter blade mounting system provides unmatched obstacle protection for the vertical tillage coulters and Salford’s tine and rolling harrow finishing system is second to none!
