In today’s episode of Farm Equipment’s Used Equipment Remarketing Roadmaps podcast, host Casey Seymour talks with Randy Sparks, sales manager for Hurst Farm Supply, a 7-store John Deere dealership in Texas.

Casey and Randy start things off talking about the increase in cotton production in the region over the last couple years. Randy says cotton is one of the few commodities that has been on an upward trend.

After briefly touching on how the cattle and feed markets have reacted to the drought conditions, they jump into the state of the retail market in Hurst Farm Supply’s area, including stable conditions for used row-crop tractors.

Casey and Randy started their conversation discussing the market conditions they both are experiencing. Both agree the strength of the planter market has been labor driven. Randy says so far precision hasn’t taken off strongly with the cotton market because it’s so based on weather conditions.
