ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Equipment Dealers Assn. (EDA) has announced the release of its 2016 Compensation & Benefits Report. At 120+ pages, this report is the equipment industry’s most comprehensive collection of data on dealership compensation and benefits. Survey data is collected every 2 years from agriculture and outdoor power equipment (OPE) dealers across North America.

In 2016, 434 equipment dealers submitted data, the highest participation to date. These dealers represent more than 1,500 dealership locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The data collected from the survey was reviewed by industry experts, Armstrong Teasdale, Scheffel Boyle CPAs and Visor Benefits, who provided their analysis and recommendations.

“This year we expanded the survey and, subsequently, the report,” said Joe Dykes, EDA’s vice president of Industry Relations. “Additional wage and benefit questions were added and we also accounted for differences in management structure. We even included more than 30 job descriptions for dealership personnel. Our 2016 Compensation & Benefits Report is truly a benchmark for dealership owners and human resources personnel in the equipment industry.”

EDA also produces the OPE Compensation & Benefits Report which will be available later this year. EDA appreciates the dealers who participated in this year’s survey. The members who completed the survey will have a complimentary copy of the report mailed to them in the next 2 weeks. If you did not participate in the survey, you may order a copy of the report here.

The Compensation & Benefits survey and corresponding report are just one of the services EDA provides its members. EDA encourages equipment dealers and manufacturers to join the association and receive the many benefits of membership. If you have any questions about EDA membership or the 2016 Compensation & Benefits report, please contact Joe Dykes by phone: 636.349.6205 or email: jdykes@equipmentdealer.org
