Agriculture customers with Cummins engines are now able to read key engine data, including prioritized fault codes, within minutes with the new Guidanz mobile app.

The Guidanz mobile app equips customers with critical information about the Cummins engines they operate and increases uptime by ultimately speeding up the service process.

When service is required, the mobile app enables equipment operators to locate and contact service providers and/or a Cummins Care representative using the built-in sales and service locator. Not only does this reduce the triage stage of the service process significantly, as the operator is armed with key information and fault analysis from Guidanz, but in an industry where uptime is key, it facilitates a faster and more efficient response time. In addition, time and efficiency savings continue when customers are engaged with certified Cummins service providers.

The Guidanz mobile app also offers the Immediate Assessment feature, which is available to certified service providers to help improve shop scheduling. With Immediate Assessment, service providers can read a customer’s  fault code, assess the severity of the fault, determine how quickly it can be repaired and what repair parts are likely needed, and start a work order immediately.

When the service provider utilizes Guidanz and the Immediate Assessment feature, operators are assured they will experience as little downtime as possible when in the care of a certified Cummins service provider.

“The Guidanz mobile app with the Immediate Assessment feature is giving customers back valuable hours that used to be spent troubleshooting by arming both them and their service providers with information backed by immeasurable amounts of data and analysis done by Cummins experts,” said Ryan Kikendall, Executive Director – Service Event Solutions at Cummins. “We have nearly 100 years of experience with diesel engines, and we’re translating our learnings into time-saving solutions for our customers.”

The Guidanz mobile app is available through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. It must be paired with an INLINE mini Bluetooth adapter or INLINE 7 and requires either an iOS or an Android operating system on the user’s mobile device. It is available on Tier 3 and later off-highway engines. The INLINE mini and the Immediate Assessment feature are available to service providers through authorized Cummins channels.
