Casey and Jack started their conversation talking about the end of the year activity in the auction market and how they foresee the year closing out compared to 2016 and how behaviors and attitudes have changed. They also dug into how parts and service business all play into the used equipment landscape.

Finally, they discuss how leasing is affecting Bodensteiner’s business and whether or not more customers are looking for leasing options. Jack says when proposing leasing options, you need to discuss the short-term and long-term plans for the customer. They also jump into the results they saw from early order programs this year.

Casey Seymour is the remarketing manager at 21st Century Equipment based in Scottsbluff, Neb. He's spent his entire career in used equipment remarketing, having been with 3 different dealerships. He also runs Moving Iron LLC and hosts The Moving Iron Podcast, an extended weekly podcast series.
