Farm Equipment asked Brant Bingham, the 30-year-old general operations assistant, who recently rejoined Arizona-based Bingham Equipment after earning his MBA, about the type of leader he aspires to be in his career.

“It sounds cliché, but the first thing that comes to mind is I’d like to be known as a genuine champion of our people and our customers. It makes me feel good to see employees are who successful and fulfilled with their work. I want to be known for paying attention to our people. I realize every man and woman I come across is my superior in some way. I hope they’ll see I respect and care, and will try to get them what they need to be successful in their career and all the things that will bring — fulfillment with family, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I want to learn from them, but also share with other them.

“And with our customers, I’m tremendously happy when we can partner with them for success. That’s not to be confused with ‘I want to lie down and give away the product,’ because that’s not part of the deal. I genuinely want to make sure that we, as a dealership, are doing the things that are important for our customers to succeed — in every one of our markets.”
