Dealers Report Strong Sales Patterns for Planters, Sprayers

North American farm equipment dealers continued to see strong growth patterns in most major product categories through November, according to the most recent Dealer Sentiments & Business Conditions Update report (December 2012).

Eight out of 12 product categories ranked in positive territory, pretty much mirroring the results from the previous month.

The biggest difference was that planting and seeding equipment and self-propelled sprayers moved to the top of the list, switching places with GPS and precision farming equipment and from the a month earlier.

On a sequential basis, planters saw the strongest improvement, while forage harvesters and 2WD tractors were the only categories to decline sequentially.
