Doug Hays, with Prescription Tillage Technology, introduced the company's new Saber Tooth Insert (STI) Blade at the 2013 Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Ill.
The Saber Tooth is the angle of the cut on the blade itself. The blade is beveled on the opposite sides of every tooth. That improves blade stability in the soil.
The design of the tooth helps to pull the blade into the soil, as well as propel it through the soil, minimizing the down pressure that's needed.
