In 1969, Duo Lift Manufacturing was a hobby business started on the farm by farmer Art Hellbusch before his son Jim and his new wife Connie rolled the dice, with a 3-year timeline ticking on them.

Today, they’ve got 110,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Nebraska that is being led by the third generation with sons, Ben and Dave.

In this episode of "How We Did It: Conversations with Ag Entrepreneurs," Brought to you by Ingersoll Tillage, Farm Equipment editor Mike Lessiter met up with the three Hellbusch gents down south to talk about their business’ origins and how they established their business as a name in fertilizer and trailer equipment -- a narrowly focused but highly competitive niche segment.
