It's no secret that consolidation of farm equipment dealerships is a reality and will continue to shape the landscape of the ag equipment business for years to come. The result is the size of farm equipment dealer organizations has grown dramatically in the last decade.
Today, 152 dealership groups with five or more stores operate 1,200 locations. This represents nearly 20% of the estimated 6,500-7,000 dealers operating in North America.
Ag Equipment Intelligence, together with Currie Management Consultants, has compiled a listing of the largest ag equipment dealerships in North America that includes the dealer name, states or provinces where their stores are located, total number of stores, number of "ag" stores and main ag brands carried. The AGCO Group includes Challenger dealers.
