A functional, street-legal low-speed vehicle
American SportWorks has combined the functionality of a 48-volt electric utility vehicle with the features needed to be a street-legal Low Speed Vehicle (LSV).
The 48V UTV LSV comes equipped with front headlights, front amber turn signals and rear lights for braking and turning.
The shatter-resistant windshield meets AS-5 glazing specifications, and the all-terrain tires will provide great traction on paved surfaces and rougher trails.
Powered by Trojan batteries and a high-efficiency, 48-volt motor, the LSV will reach a top speed of 22 mph and comes with an on-board charger. The dump bed has a 400-pound capacity and the total vehicle capacity is 900 pounds with an additional 1,100 pounds of towing capacity.
The ASW 48V LSV utility vehicle meets the LSV national standard. However, low-speed vehicle requirements vary by state and may also be subject to local ordinances. Drivers must be aware of their local regulations before operating the vehicle on public roads.
