Sunco Stabilizer

Sunco Stabilizer

Are you having problems with implements not trailing properly, especially with RTK GPS on the tractor? The Sunco Stabilizer is designed to attach to implements and keep them trailing directly behind the tractor. On slopes, side hills and even relatively flat fields, implements can drift to the side, and the Sunco Stabilizer will help eliminate this problem. Designed to mount between the rows on planters, the Stabilizer can also mount on implements like cultivators, strip-till machines and bedders. The heavy-duty, durable and long-lasting construction of the Sunco Stabilizer assures years of dependable elimination of implement slippage.

Sunco Saber

Sunco Saber Tooth
Trash Discs

The task of moving trash in no-till has been perfected by Sunco with its Saber Tooth Trash Discs. Introduced in 1995, Sunco uses three unique ideas to move trash away from planter row units into the middle of the rows. 1. Sunco uses a concave disc instead of a flat wheel so trash contacting the concave surface rotates the disc without needing ground contact, plus the trash flows away instead of being pushed. 2. The swept-back tooth design releases trash, rather than poking and carrying it as with spiked wheels. 3. The two discs are separated so they don’t compete for trash, stop turning and plug. Martin SCW

Martin Spading
Closing Wheels

Martin Spading Closing Wheels move soil toward the seed at planting depth, while lifting and fracturing the surface layer to achieve compaction-free closing of the seed trench. Crops will emerge sooner and planting can be done at proper depth, even in wetter conditions, without fear of crushed soil above the seed preventing emergence.

Martin UMO

Martin UMO-100
Fertilizer Opener

The Martin UMO-100 Fertilizer Opener mounts directly to the planting unit and is compact enough to be mounted within Martin 1360 Series Floating Row Cleaners. Fertilizer is always precisely the same distance from the seed, even when planting on the contour. It consistently places fertilizer in the ground without splattering it on the planter.

May Wes

May Wes
Closing Wheels

May Wes is so confident in the strength and longevity of its Smooth Closing Wheels that it provides a lifetime warranty against breakage on the UHMW poly wheel. Closing wheels are produced with Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) poly material through a compression molding process. This UHMW poly material is exceedingly strong and durable, making it the superior choice compared to OEM closing wheels that are molded as halves or made of steel. May Wes Closing Wheels flex when encountering obstacles and return to their original molded position due to “shape memory” properties. The non-stick surface of the poly material helps keep the wheel cleaner than factory steel wheels. Click here for more information.

Yetter

Yetter Closing Wheel Options

Even the most challenging soil won’t interfere with the ability of the Yetter 6200 Paddle Wheel to close your seed trench. It ensures full seed-to-soil contact, preventing yield-robbing air pockets. As the paddles enter and exit the soil, they fracture the sidewall. It has the added benefit of helping to warm the soil to speed even emergence. The ultimate benefit of the Yetter 6200 Cast Spike Closing Wheel is increased yield potential. It lifts and fractures soil with its exclusive teeth, improving seed-trench closing. It eliminates the potential for sidewall compaction, enhances seed-to-soil contact and helps prevent yield-robbing air pockets.

Schlagel

Schlagel Mfg
Posi-Close Wheels

Common rubber wheels are normally associated with the seed trench crusting and baking, or simply opening back up when used in wet soil. This is by far the most common complaint from farmers using traditional wheels. Posi-Close planter wheels will leave soft mulch on top of the seedbed to prevent crusting and baking. Posi-Close wheels will not leave any smearing or extreme compaction, which is always coupled with use of regular rubber wheels. No need to worry about the seed-trench wheels because there will be no seed trench. With the patented "horizontal rod" design and with a wide ground path, Posi-Close wheels will literally destroy the seed trench.

Cross Slot

Cross Slot

Cross Slot has always been known to work in dry conditions, but the 2011 season also proved Cross Slot's worth in the wet conditions experienced in North Dakota and Washington. Cross Slot managed to get seeding done last May in trying wet conditions, when many farmers were unable to get inferior equipment and technology in the ground. Being unable to seed a crop has serious implications for a farmers income. Farmers don’t need another year like last year, unless the excess moisture can be turned into income. Think cover crops to help manage excess moisture. The 45-foot drill seeds through corn stubble and handles sod with similar ease. Click here for more information.

Hawkins

Planter "N" Forcer
by Hawkins

The patented Hawkins Planter “N” Forcer is used with a pump capable of 20 pounds or more pressure. Fertilizer can be placed to the depth set by the single 14-inch, double-beveled blade. The Planter “N” Forcer is equipped with a down stop so it won’t plunge in soft ground no matter how much pressure is set on the adjustable spring relief. Terraced ground creates no problems with the castering action of the Planter “N” Forcer. To watch them at work, go to our website and click the video links. Tests have shown that the precise placement of liquid fertilizer will dramatically increase yield. Call Hawkins Mfg., Inc. and ask about the performance advantages you’ll get with the Hawkins Planter “N” Forcer. Click here for more information.

Schaffert

The Rebounder
Seed Cover by Schaffert

The Rebounder Seed Cover has been eliminating uneven seed spacing and inconsistent depth placement for over a decade. Other attachments on the market, like firmers, place approximately 1.5 pounds of pressure on the seed, which pushes it deeper in softer soils and leaves it shallower in firmer soils. This creates a wave effect in the depth placement that leads to uneven emergence. The Rebounder Seed Cover is designed to funnel the seed, not put unnecessary pressure on it, ensuring that it will eliminate seed bounce, uneven spacing and seeds flipping on top of the soil. The Rebounder is also designed to allow pop-up application with optional fittings, such as the Y-Not Split-It and Straight Shot, giving you fertilizer placement exactly where you want it! Belt Meter

S.I. Distributing
Belt Meter

Now you can plant the seed population per acre that you choose without guessing. Accurate population control is possible even on large-seeded crops like soybeans. The S.I. Belt Meter, when used on a grain drill, will singulate the seed and maintain accurate population control over a wide range of seed sizes. The S.I. Belt Meter will plant a known number of seeds for every revolution of the drill shaft. Population rate changes are simply made by using a planter-type transmission that changes the ratio between the ground-drive wheel and the drill drive shaft. Changes in seed size do not affect the planting rate as with most fluted type grain drill meters. Save money due to no overseeding; make money due to no underseeding.

CleanSweep

S.I. Distributing
CleanSweep

Setting row cleaners is a pain. CleanSweep lets you do it from the cab of your tractor. Row cleaners that are set too high or too light leave residue in the row. That makes it hard for seeds planted on or near the residue to get moisture and emerge, which cuts yield and costs money. Row cleaners that are set too low or heavy can move soil as well as residue, which can cause trenching. With CleanSweep, you can increase or decrease force on your row cleaners from the cab, on the go. That makes proper seedbed preparation easy and makes every seed count. You can even lift the row cleaners completely off the ground.

WaveVision

S.I. Distributing WaveVision

The only sensor that can tell seeds from dust. Optical sensors are easily fooled. Doubles look like singles and dust looks like seeds. And when sensors are miscounting seeds and counting dust, you have no idea what your actual population is. The WaveVision doesn’t use optics. The sensor-seed tube combination uses high-frequency waves to look at falling objects from every angle. This allows WaveVision to distinguish a single seed from a double or triple, or from dust or debris, because they all register a different mass. It counts only seeds. The WaveVision counts seeds lower on the seed tube and closer to the trench, which increases accuracy.

Pro Stitch

Pro-Stitch
Closing Wheels

Pro-Stitch has the only closing system that features a blunt tooth design. Soil pressure causes the tine wheels to run out of time, pushing the sidewalls from side to side and destroying side-wall compaction. The trench is closed by exerting 6 times more pressure on the side wall with our 1-inch tine. This removes air pockets and delivers good soil-to-seed contact. The wheels are spaced 2 to 2-1/4 inches apart, leaving a crumbled zone above the seed that results in better, earlier even emergence. Call (605) 999-3503 to order or for more information.
