Wertz Farm & Power Equipment Celebrates 100^th Anniversary

April 14 — Wertz Farm & Power Equipment Inc. proudly announces 100 years of service to the community. Located just 2 miles north of Lineboro, Md., Wertz Farm & Power Equipment is a 4^th generation family owned business & specializes in the service and sales of Massey Ferguson and Kioti Tractors, Simplicity outdoor power equipment, Scag, Ferris and Gravely Mowers as well as Husqvarna and Echo Power Equipment.

Founder William Wertz began the family business in 1910 as Wertz Garage at the original Lineboro Maryland location. Brands serviced and sold over the past century include, Ford Cars and Trucks, Fordson Tractors, Case Tractors, Allis Chalmers Tractors, Delaval milking equipment, Westinghouse Appliances, Arctic Cat Snowmobiles, New Idea Farm Machinery and Gehl Farm Machinery.

Today Kevin and Bradley Dickmyer along with parents Fred and Doris continue to serve the community at the new 6877 Lineboro Rd., Glen Rock, Pa. location.

In honor of the 100^th anniversary an Open House was held March 27 &28, 2010. A timeline of equipment sold over the past 100 years was on display and nearly 1,000 people attended the event.
